Time Bombs

In spite of the 190 coiuntries who are signatories to the Non-Proliferation Treaty, nations continue to develop and grow their nuclear arsenals. Today there are over 19,000 nuclear weapons, many of them on hair trigger alert. Some of these weapons have 1000 times the explosive capacity of the Hiroshima bomb that killed about 100,000 people. This documentary is a wake up call to those who think we are no longer at risk. It follows the eforts of the Marshall Islands to hold to account the nine countries who still possess nuclear weapons, to get rid of them before a disaster, accidental or otherwise, destroys us all. The documentary challenges the conventional wisdom of nuclear deterrants as the only option to peace on earth. We have other choices.
